CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A $250,000 project to remove nine fish passage barriers from Pendleton County's Thorn Creek is among 68 fish habitat projects to be funded across the nation through the National Fish Habitat Action Plan.
The project is expected to make 25 miles of the trout stream free of fish-obstructing barriers. Money to pay for the work comes from the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
