The association says the state's average price is up 7 cents this week to $2.70 a gallon. West Virginians were paying an average of $2.63 at the end of August and $2.59 in September 2009.
Prices are ranging from a low of $2.59 a gallon in Morgantown to a high of $2.80 a gallon in Bridgeport.
