MTV crew shoots footage in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A production crew, apparently with the MTV reality series "Buck Wild," was in downtown Charleston on Friday shooting video footage.

A video crew was in Taylor Books on Capitol Street for about an hour on Friday, and was later seen shooting footage on nearby Fife Street. Crew members would not confirm their identities, other than to say they were working on a docuseries.

Did they have a heavily guarded police presence while shooting and I bet it was during the daytime hours for sure!

Where have you been Gazette? They have been filming across the street from me in South Charleston for the past couple of weeks. I know of at least one other location out near Little Creek Park in South Charleston. If you see a 2-3 dark tinted SUVs driving around, that is the production crew following them around. And they did have rent-a-cop "security" with them at one point.
Just last night the SCPD was called out because they were partying/fighting in the street in front of the house at 1am.

By not giving them a tax credit and making them mad will only lead them to do what the state feared. Casting West Virginia in a negative light is not a difficult thing to do.
