Governors meet, take no action
The West Virginia University Board of Governors met in closed session for more than three hours Monday afternoon to discuss "personnel issues" regarding beleaguered WVU President Mike Garrison.
Ill. senator can lead nation out of Iraq, W.Va.'s elder statesman says
U.S. Sen. Robert C. Byrd endorsed Barack Obama for president on Monday, saying the Illinois senator is the best choice to get the United States out of the war in Iraq.
West Virginia is well known for courting and retaining Japanese companies, Sen. Jay Rockefeller said Monday, during opening ceremonies for NGK Spark Plugs USA Inc.'s newest addition in Sissonville.
